Hailey Urbano was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas in May of 1997. Urbano’s work focuses on non-linear narratives surrounding dreams, consciousness, and experience. Her intent is to investigate her own personal background as a means to open a discourse into visual understandings of the condition of the mind. In 2015, Urbano began working towards their BFA at the University of Texas at San Antonio. After graduating in 2020 with a concentration in printmaking, Urbano worked for Flatbed Press in Austin, Texas as a studio tech. As of today, Hailey Urbano has shown at R Space, AudioTree Music Festival, Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, and San Antonio Art League and Museum, and most recently at the BLK WHT GRY gallery. Urbano frequently explores relief and lithography, as well sculptural forms in fibrous, airy, and heavy materials like paper, yarn, and wire within her work.
