    Izzy Krompegel-Anliker (b. 1996) is a designer and artist engaged in an exploration of material culture. Izzy’s practice is oriented around her interest in functional objects and informed by her past work in manufacturing and production. Currently, Izzy’s particular areas of interest include: containers of all kinds; desire paths; ‘thank you’ gifts and notes; temporary solutions/making-do; and morning routines. Her work is generally and broadly engaged in the strange and transformative alchemy of making objects from humble materials. Born and raised in the mountains of Northern Colorado, Izzy completed a BA in Sculpture and Critical Theory in the Twin Cities––where she has shown work in group and solo shows. She is currently an MFA candidate in the 3D Department at Cranbrook Academy of Art.
