Yi sees space as aggregation of inter-scalar mediation—text, image, eyes, body, breath and beyond. She witnesses, collects, documents, and reveals, then initiates and traces by mark-making, storytelling, and site-revisiting. She worked with leaves, branches, clay, copper, water, watercolor, charcoal, thread, zines, … various materials at hand. She hopes to convey messages on shared foundations between disparate beings, so as to activate experiences that associate the past and present, the others and self.
