Zoe McGuire (b. 1996 Upstate New York) is a Brooklyn-based artist. Focused predominantly on oil painting and pastel works, McGuire creates vivid abstractions inspired by relationships in nature. Zoe received her Bachelor of Arts in 2018 from Skidmore College where she studied art history. Since, she has participated in numerous group shows in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Michigan, Hong Kong, Provincetown, and London. Zoe was recently included in a solo display at Intersect Palm Springs with Gaa Gallery and in June she will have a solo show with Another Gallery LA. Two of her works were included in Artsy’s curatorial picks for Intersect Palm Springs, and she was noted in Whitewall and LA Weekly’s reviews of Frieze Week LA for her work in Spring Break Art Show. Zoe was a finalist for the New American Painting’s Emerging Artist Grant in 2021 and will be featured in their 2022 MFA print issue. Currently, McGuire is an MFA candidate at the Cranbrook Academy of Art set to graduate in 2023.
