Born in a small city of China, Hankunyu “Vera” Wei started her metalsmithing life in Savannah College of Art and Design, then enrolled in Cranbrook Academy of Art.
She is obsessed with digging the dark side of ordinary life, purifying the moments that are taken for granted and exploring their essence in the way of abstraction. Believed that the collision between different materials can stimulate the vitality of the work and the imagination and inspiration of creation, she has maximized the plasticity of materials through repeated attempts.
