    cyanotype on wood

This series of wood prints imagines Bonnie without Clyde. The feeling evoked is feminist noir, as if Laura Mulvey and Susan Sontag met at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge, MA, for an imagined conversation with Arthur Penn.

Graham Cassano is a photographer, printer, poet, and scholar. He works with historical methods, like cyanotype, to create alternative structures of feeling and imaginatively contested praxis fields. He has developed a system of artistic ethics that rejects contemporary digital forms, concentrating, instead, upon analog experiences that defy electronic reproduction. Most of his images, prints, and artifacts are based on narrative, dreamwork, and imperfect memories of cinematic montage.
