DDK has driven as printmaker, binder, and as weaver. They have ridden as writer, painter, and object-finder, too. Continuing through landscapes of metaphor and aesthetics, performing and installing all along, DDK stops only to work or to rest.
DDK recently flipped the script on their studio: it no longer fabricates, but is the curtain – and can be seen through a camera, on screen.
Perhaps “studio-playwright” is a term to use, with “studio performance,” to describe the practice. Meantime, “interdisciplinary artist” will do.
