Qualeasha Wood (MFA Photography 2021), whose first European solo exhibition is currently on view at Pippy Houldworth Gallery in London, was featured in an article by Dazed Digital for her elaborate tapestries that explore themes of cyberculture and identity.

Wood’s tapestries are created using a combination of traditional weaving techniques and digital tools, resulting in complex and visually stunning pieces. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the country, and she has received recognition for her innovative approach to the medium.

In the Dazed Digital article, Wood discusses her inspiration for the tapestries and the ways in which she incorporates elements of cyberculture and pop culture into her work. She also explores her experiences as a Black artist navigating the art world and the importance of representation and visibility.

Qualeasha Wood: TL;DR is currently on view at Pippy Houldworth Gallery through June 4, 2023. The exhibition features a new body of work including her signature tapestry and tufting methods.
